Feelings ran high as several students and neighborhood inhabitants of Eldoret and Thika towns assembled outside Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) funeral home for transportation of killed Moi University medicinal understudy Ivy Wangechi’s body. It was all cries and tears as relatives and understudies gradually conveyed the coffin containing her remaining parts to a funeral car for transportation to Kenyatta University morgue where she will be safeguarded in front of entombment at her parent’s home in Thika.

The grievers held short petitions and sang laments before they left the bustling town which was somewhat home to Wangechi in his six years as she examined drug at the Moi University’s School of Medicine before her nerve racking passing. Therapeutic understudies wearing white outfits stood other than the funeral car as they watched the body of their killed partner leave the establishment where she was filling in as a learner specialist.

Wangechi was a Sixth Year therapeutic understudy and was experiencing her practicals at the office when she was assaulted by the suspect, Naftali Njahi Kinuthia. Naftali is accounted for to have gone from Thika town to Eldoret in his vehicle which he left at the medical clinic and waylaid the woman at the door where he executed her.

He told the police that he had spent a lot of money and invested his heart in Wangechi but she always turned him down, something that angered him leading to his action. The assailant is currently receiving medical treatment at MTRH where he underwent a head surgery at the facility following serious injuries he sustained after he was attacked by an angry mob.
